Goodbye, November! You were good. Mostly good and you gave some memories to treasure for long.
I believe that the best times in life are the ones with friends and family. If October was about family, November was about friends. Friends who are family and the family I chose for myself. I met friends and enjoyed our time together. With occasional downs, the month’s tone was soft and calm.
So in no particular order, here is my happy list of things.

I am grateful to have a place that’s close to my house and that I am able to stick to my 5 am routine. Some days it’s hard to kick that blanket off in the morning but hey, who said anything is easy?

Nana ji reminds me of my Nani so it was lovely talking to him. How I wish Nani was around. I miss her but I am glad that she in our happy childhood memories. I am grateful that I got to meet them.

The thing with old friends is that you can pick up threads where you left and have a good laugh. I am grateful to have made friends with some people I worked in the past.

I wanted to cancel the plans and keep it a friends’ free day. But I did not. It turned out to be the best day of the month and a birthday to remember. With my friends, we picnicked at Cubbon park and dined out. Then spent few more hours at our friends’ having tea and chatting. Good memories are made in the simplest of ways. Don’t you think?

For our friends we got some Motichor laddoos and yours truly couldn’t keep her hands off. I love Paddus (You can buy a paddu vessel from Amazon using this link without any additional cost to you)for breakfast and my help has been sweet to let me borrow her vessel to cook it. Well she cooks for us too. So double grateful for that. Did I tell you my birthday cake was red velvet? I ate that like there was no tomorrow.
Looking back, the month was full and I am very grateful for people at work and at home. I worked from home a day or two in the month and also took a day off to unwind. VT and I watched a few shows on Amazon Prime. Some evenings had no calls and gave me time to blog. #ThursdayTreeLove and #WordsMatter have been going well. I am grateful to my readers and blogging friends.
My Kannadiga neighbor got me some Diwali sweets and I loved her gesture.
This December, we are not traveling but we plan to spend some good time together. I am giving ideas to VT so let’s see how that shapes up. I can’t believe it’s almost an year since our road trip to Central India. Time is flying.
How was your November and what are your plans for the holiday season?
